Workshop SOE started from 2010-2011 Academic year in a creative way. The workshop team with all trades contributed from beginning for Academics requirement of University of Pune and development work of DYPTC. This workshop Team technically supports all colleges of knowledge city. We develop students to train for manufacturing operation of all branches so that they are employable. Future Plans :

Also Central Workshop at DYPSOE has plans in coming future to introduce new Technology with software supports. Few items tentatively planned during AY 2014-15 areâ€¦

Department of Engineering Sciences (FE) serves as an effective bridge for students graduating from Junior College and poised on the threshold of a career in engineering. The Department is committed to serve the needs of various branches of Engineering by fostering an effective teaching-learning environment and offering students an academically encouraging experience to develop their intellectual capacity, critical thinking, creativity and problem solving ability. The highly experienced faculty members are enthusiastic, dynamic and committed towards all department activities so that students become useful and forward-thinking members of the Science and Engineering community. Current trends in the scientific world clearly demand an 'interdisciplinary approach' and all must have a minimum basic knowledge of all disciplines. The focus of the First Year Department is to lay a strong foundation and foster up-to-date knowledge in mathematics, sciences and the rudiments of all branches of Engineering. We also encourage and promote a conductive environment for creative activities to enhance students' practical problem solving abilities and equip them for success in the modern world. Regular assignments and problem-solving sessions enable our students to face the University exams with confidence; extra-curricular and sports activities in our well-equipped campus nurture their all-round talents; and seminars, symposia, workshops and industry visits equip them with technical knowledge and creativity to excel in the engineering profession.

Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2010-2011 with initial intake of 60 students. In consecutive years intake was raised up to 120 & 180 students. Department has also started Post Graduation Program in Design Engineering with the intake of 24 Students from academic year 2012-2013. Department has State of the art laboratories covering all aspects of curriculum suggested by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Department has always remained forefront in producing quality engineers to fulfill the requirements of the Industry. The department has qualified & experienced senior faculties as per the AICTE norms. The department has been reshaped because of computerization & changed expectation from industry.Modern machinery, infrastructure, workshop, departmental library & good research culture are the key features of our department. Many of the students in department participated in technical events like Go-kart, Baja, Robocon etc. In Over the years department has developed strong linkages with different industry through IIIC (Industry Institute Interaction Cell). Our department is having major software like ANSYS 14.5, CREO-Parametric, Master- CAM, MatLab etc.

The objective is to empower our students with latest technical knowledge and skills by providing them with the best teaching faculty, lab facilities and excellent research and development environment. The motivation is not just to nurture their technical skills but to provide professional grooming and guidance so that our students come-up as thorough professionals and inspiring individuals. To meet the objectives, the department pays special emphasis on teaching and hands on practical work. The students exhibit their learning through their projects in the final years of curriculum.
